and leads down a winding path

Scale modeling has been a part of my life since I was young,

ever since my mother gave me my first model for my birthday in the 1990s. It was a simple model of a Zephyr glider. This kit still evokes memories of the hard times of communism in Poland under the iron hand of the Soviet Union. That model sparked a passion that stayed with me for years, filling my room with finished models of all kinds. This personal journey, filled with memories and passion, is what drives Modellers World.

As it happens in life, a hiatus occurred during my post-secondary period.

But when I rediscovered this passion as an adult, it was a deeply personal experience—like finding a long-lost treasure. Learning the technique of “weathering,” the art of giving models and dioramas a realistic look, was a real revelation for me. I felt the fire in me anew, a passion I thought had been extinguished long ago. I fell in love with scale modeling as if it had never left my life.

Rediscovering this passion, however, involved some challenges.

Once I learned all the weathering techniques, I decided to start experimenting on my own with creating more sophisticated dirt solutions. This became a passion even greater than scale-modeling itself and consumed me for a long time.

Being a child I just wanted to make models, but later….

I immersed myself in areas completely new to me and very specialized knowledge.
Scale modeling turned from a hobby into a potential career path I hadn’t considered before. I aim to create a unique brand that reflects my passion and creativity. The possibilities are endless, and I can’t wait to see where this journey will take me.

My journey has been nothing short of incredible. In 2018, I took the leap and started my own brand, sharing my modeling knowledge through a blog in Polish. At the same time, I showcased my first products at exhibitions: washes and pigments.

These products found their way into the hands of experienced modelers, who regularly showcased their skills in competitions. Their trust and respect have been integral to the success of my brand, and their positive feedback has surpassed my wildest expectations.

Their positive feedback exceeded my expectations! Thanks to them, I decided to distribute more widely, resulting in the launch of products in 2019 through wholesalers and e-commerce platforms.

Still, the development of the products is based on the experience and needs of the many different modelers I’ve met by participating in local and international exhibitions and getting to know in the hundreds now as customers.

Being in contact with these enthusiasts and artists constantly inspires me to expand my offerings. This community-focused approach ensures that our products are not just tools but a reflection of the collective passion and creativity of the scale modeling community.

The inadequacies of the solutions available on the market motivated me to create my own products. I decided to give it my all, putting a tremendous amount of my work and time into each one. Thus, our portfolio is a collection of high-quality, innovative products that result from extensive research and numerous trials.

I noticed that many cleaners and thinners needed to be more moderate or effective. I consulted my ideas with a group of trusted scale-modeling enthusiasts. I met their expectations by putting in a lot of work and time. The result is cleaners and thinners that are as versatile as possible and compatible with various model paints.

Our cleaners and thinners have unique additional features, making scale modeling even more rewarding. With these products, you can focus on creating amazing models without worrying about which product to dilute given paint or wash with, as they are versatile and compatible with various model paints.

Pigments are a “sprinkle” value for any diorama modeler. When I started, I noticed that many pigments on the market have a monotonous spectrum of shades and are difficult to apply. I wanted something more – something to create more realistic and complex effects.

Our Pigments are the result of more than two years of research and numerous trials. Each box is a carefully selected blend of natural European minerals that offer endless possibilities for creating realistic effects. The high viscosity makes it easy to apply, and the ultra-fine grinding gives fluffiness.

With these, you can weather models, color dioramas, and even create your own terrain or mud pastes with the addition of “Solution.” This solution is ahead of the curve in terms of quality and versatility, giving you full control over the look of your designs.

When I started experimenting with washes as a young modeler, I was discouraged by the opinion that commercial products were not very durable and difficult to wash off and control while working with them. Unfortunately, this turned out to be true.

I decided to find a solution. The result was our absolute bestseller—Oil Wash. These washes are fully matte when dry and perfectly imitate dirt and residue on models. Thanks to the highest-quality diluents and pigments, our washes are easy to use and give the effect of realistic deposits. As a result, they can be used as a basic weathering tool and a pin wash simultaneously.

Now, you can enhance your model’s lines and shapes without worrying about exaggerating the effects. Working in layers lets you focus on creating impressive details rather than constantly washing an overly dirty model.

As already advanced in designing new products, I dreamed of creating one to revolutionize model weathering. Weathering Paints is our all-in-one solution that replaces many other products. They are acrylic paints with a specific, subdued pigmentation resembling natural sediment. They offer a deep matte finish even applied in a thick layer. In the airbrush, they are great for painting russet and deposit. With a brush, they create realistic textures and cumulative effects.

Unlike pigment dusting methods, our Weathering Paints do not require additional fixation. They’re the perfect weathering finish that makes your models look truly realistic without the need to use many different products to achieve the desired effect.

Creating a wet surface effect was counterintuitively challenging. Other liquids often didn’t convey the natural look of spilled dirty water or maintenance fluids the way I wanted to see it. That’s why I created Wet Effects – liquids that perfectly mimic wet surfaces in several ways.

Our tinted versions are unique on the market, adding subtle shades that look natural and are difficult to achieve with other products. This tool allows you to create dynamic and realistic weather effects on your models.

When looking for a solution for filters, I searched for those that would allow me to make subtle saturation and shade changes working with the brush alone, streak-free, and fast-drying so I could work quickly with multiple layers when I needed to graduate the effect.

Ultimate Filters was born – odorless acrylic liquids with ultra-fine pigment that you apply with a brush in an almost velvety way. Filters add depth and consistency to camouflage and are ideal for both advanced modelers and those just starting out in weathering. With them, your models will gain realism, and you will be able to enjoy the results of your work without frustration.

I wanted models to maintain their appearance for years, regardless of the conditions. Varnishes from Modellers World are easy to apply with an airbrush and protect models from fading and damage.

Another product in this genre is Easy Chipping Medium. It allows you to create ultra-realistic scratches and abrasions by weakening the base paint layer. What sets our product apart is the ease with which it handles cellulose paints like Mr. Hobby C or Mr. Paint, where other products of this type have fallen.

We offer creative solutions for dioramas, model weathering, and various effects. When I needed more advanced tools, I started experimenting with different formulas.

This led to products such as pigment fixative, which strikes the perfect balance between adhesive strength and no effect on colors. Other innovative products, such as clay, allow the creation of even more realistic terrain effects on dioramas.

Each responds to challenges I’ve encountered along the way and proves that creating products that meet modelers’ expectations is possible.

Creating dioramas and models requires solid adhesives that not only glue but also don’t adversely affect the appearance of the glued components. Specialized fluids from Modellers World are our answer to this problem. Our “Solution” acrylic resin allows you to create pastes of any density, texture, and many other effects by working with pigments, pastes, clays, and even Weathering Paints.

The coolest part, however, is that by sourcing these high-performance products that can be mixed with each other to create unique effects, they eliminate the need to buy dozens of different “finished” products. This is ideal for advanced modelers who value freedom and creativity in the workshop.

On the other hand, we have Ready-made Products for those who appreciate quick and easy solutions. Our pastes and gels are ready to apply, guaranteeing a spectacular result with minimal effort. These are excellent products for beginners who want to quickly achieve realistic terrain effects on their models or build dioramas.

High performance and still satisfactory compatibility with other products in our range make them a pleasure to work with. They allow you to focus on the creative aspect of scale modeling instead of wasting time on complicated application techniques.

We are also introducing Nature Acrylics, our new color palette still under development. These pure acrylic paints for painting diorama parts depicting natural objects – such as wood, rocks, or greens, feature the highest quality and a pure solution without fillers. This allows the pigment to settle almost pure, providing a natural, deep matte finish and saturated colors.

I wanted to create a place that combines passion and work—a family-owned factory where scale modeling comes first. And so it is to this day! Only my family members work at Modellers World, and I myself am involved at every stage—from production to distribution to contacting you.
