This product is by far the most versatile when it comes to pin-wash military models. A dark, almost black brown that resembles old worn dirt when dry will be the best choice for most models when it comes to pin washing. Be sure to check out the video tab and, for example, the Walker Bulldog model.
This color, of course, will work well anywhere around the details when replicating a model of vehicle that rides in dry terrain. But it’s also a great pin-wash for models in desert camouflage. The pigment in this product is very heavy, so we recommend you watch the clip in the video tab on how to properly mix our washes.
Like “Industrial Dirt,” it is a product for general dirtiness of vehicles, aircraft, buildings, and wood. However, unlike that one, this wash is like earthy dirt. So again, we highly recommend using this wash for enhancing details and for dirt on panels in general. Especially the chassis of cars or airplanes, wheels, and the bottom parts of buildings, walls, or fences.
This wash will work perfectly as a supplement to the other rust products in our range. It can create rust streaks, highlight seam lines on rusted items, or even as a rust pigment fixative.
If we had to recommend one product for generally dirtying all sorts of vehicles and aircraft, it would be this one. Real old dirt is a mixture of all kinds of dust, grease, and all types of mess on the equipment. We highly recommend using this wash not only for enhancing details but for general dirt spots. It is also the best wash for engines and everything under the hood.
The color was developed for vehicles in desert camouflage, Africa Korps, but also useful for wood weathering such as tool handles. Mixing it with Black Brown in different proportions, you can get almost any shade of brown, which opens the door for washing most armored models.
This color is invaluable if you are making dioramas or boats. In nature, it is widespread to see algae stains, especially on fences, old elevations, and cracks between sidewalk tiles. Don’t forget about making a diorama. It will be a great accent in boats traveling on rivers and ports, an absolute must.
This dirty green shade has a whole range of uses as a wash. It is perfect as a subtle pin wash on Olive Drab or Russian Green paint jobs or Japanese aircraft camouflage in green. It can also be used as a wash for interior green for airplanes. It will be a perfect tool when it comes to weathering old wood. It is excellent for streaks, especially on buildings and ships; here, you can mix it with Light Moss Green to darken this one and lighten that one.
An excellent wash for making darker rust stains. It can be used as a base for rust pigments, for example, on exhausts. The color is already quite dark but still expressive.
